This work serves as a meditation on the artificiality of borders against the enduring pulse of the earth. A patch of Texas daffodils are symbols of a "wild" hope; they do not recognize geopolitical lines, thriving instead on the resilience inherent in the soil. They represent a life force that refuses to be contained by steel or law.

The foundation of the piece is constructed from mirrored mosaic tiles, positioned at eye level to provide a deliberate confrontation. As the viewer looks upon the "other side" of the wall, they are met with their own reflection. This visual choice is an architectural scream of a fundamental truth: that whether through our own journeys or the echoes of our ancestors, we have all stood on that side of the landscape once before in a shared history of migration and survival.

Ultimately, the piece asserts that the wall is an arbitrary, man-made fracture, a temporary monument that time and rust will eventually erase. In contrast, the land is eternal, belonging only to the people and the dreams they plant within it. Under the watchful, merciful gaze of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the work honors the sacred journey of those seeking the "land of no kings." It is a testament to the belief that the pursuit of Lady Liberty is the only true constant of the horizon.
